Something for free !?!

I trust that you have had a great summer!

If you still haven't had a chance to book into this year's conference there is still time. And as a little incentive, if you book your place now, we'll send you a copy of 'Church Unlimited - Youthwork and mission today'. It's a great book, and for anyone involved in youthwork it's well worth a read.

'Over the past decade the church has reinvented her mission to young people, and now young people are reinventing the church. Church Unlimited tells the story.' Russell Rook - ALOVE.

Planning & highlights

One of the highlights at Youthwork the conference are the Main Sessions. We've recently had a planning meeting looking at the content of these sessions - considering the speakers, themes, worship and creativity. The Main Sessions are the times when all of us have the opportunity to come together to hear from our keynote speakers - Mike Pilavachi (Soul Survivor), Nancy Goudie (NGM) and Ajith Fernando (Sri Lanka YFC).

I'm personally very excited about these sessions and am sure that God is going to challenge and inspire many of us during the weekend.

New and improved..

A number of the planning group recently visited Southport to see what's been happening at the theatre and conference centre. For those of you who have been there before be prepared for some interesting changes!

The conference centre is coming toward the end of a huge refurbishment, and not only that, but there is also a four plus?! star hotel attached. We think that all these changes are going to really enhance this years conference.

Here's the artists impression of the new venue.

Welcome

Hello and welcome to the first instalment of the Youthwork the conference blog. As you've probably guessed we are really excited about the theme of this years conference, DEEPEN. You may well be wondering what we are aiming to deepen! Well, lots of things but our major emphasis is going to be the soul of the youthworker and how our personal relationship with God not only has an impact on us but also the young people we work with. With lots of our speakers already booked and many more being invited over the next couple of weeks, it promises to be a weekend of quality teaching. With our sung worship being led by Ben Cantelon we can also look forward to some inspiring Main Sessions.

Over the coming weeks and months we'll be keeping you up to date with our progress, giving you some inside information on our speakers and much, much more......
