Final Delegate Information!

It's only a few days until Youthwork the conference 2008, and we are delighted that you are joining us! We hope that you are looking forward to the weekend.

Arrival Details

When you arrive, please make your way to the Information Point in the foyer of the conference centre. Here you can register, and collect your delegate pack which includes your programme for the conference and a wristband you need to wear for the whole weekend to get into the venues. 

Southport - Southport Theatre & Convention Centre, The Promenade, Southport, Merseyside, PR9 0DZ

Eastbourne - The Congress Theatre & Winter Gardens, Carlisle Road, Eastbourne, BN21 4BP

Full Weekend Delegates - If you are coming for the whole weekend, please register from 4.00pm on the Friday. The exhibition, café and prayer chapel will all be open. The Main Session starts at 8.00pm so it'd be worth finding your accommodation and getting some food before the programme starts.

Day Delegates - If you have booked as a day or evening delegate, the Information Point will be open from 4pm on the Friday, and from 8.30am on both the Saturday and Sunday for you to register. The programme on Saturday begins at 9.00am with a Main Session, and on Sunday at 8.45am with a morning reflection, and then workshops from 9.30am.

Retreat Day Delegates - If you are joining us for the Retreat Day, then this will be taking place at a local church in the town. Registration is from 4.00pm, with the first session beginning at 5.00pm. Once you have registered for the Early Day, then you do not need to re-register for the main conference.

(For those using sat-nav to get to the venue, don't enter this postcode as it won't take you to the right place! Instead enter the destination as the junction between Grange Road and Carlisle Road).

Programme

The weekend will be filled with:

• Main sessions offering space for you to encounter God through worship and teaching,
• New for 2008 - Soul Sessions inspiring and challenging our thinking on the areas of Soul, Society and Service,
• Workshops exploring key youthwork issues and skills,
• Opportunities to connect with other youth workers,
• Late night entertainment,
• An exhibition of organisations resourcing and equipping youth ministry.

More details about the programme, including workshop details and speakers have recently been updated.

We are also delighted to announce that following the success of the school disco at last year's conference, and in keeping with the theme of this year's conference, Saturday night will be Soul Night! So come along ready to let your hair down and have some fun at the end of a busy day!
